Wasps’ Young claims son still eligible for Wales
Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has clarified his son, flanker Thomas, is still eligible for Test match rugby if selected by Wales.
The 25-year-old won two Wales caps on tour of the Pacific Islands.
He is also shining in the Premiership and should contest Wales’ number seven berth with Justin Tipuric and Sam Warburton.
However, Welsh rugby’s governing body. the WRU, has this week announced new regulations which mean players must have won at least 60 caps to qualify if they play outside Wales.
Young junior must return to a Welsh PRO14 side to be eligible for the national team.
